MINESTRONE SOUP 
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. green pepper, diced
2 c. Ragu spaghetti sauce
1 c. beef broth
1 c. red wine
6 c. water
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
1 tsp. basil
1 tsp. fennel seeds
Tabasco to taste
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, cut up
1 can beans (garbanzo or kidney)

Simmer 1 hour, then add 1 cup pasta (no particular kind) and 1 pound hot Italian sausage which has been browned and sliced. Cook 10-15 minutes longer. Serve with Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.
