RANGER COOKIES 
1 c. shortening
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 c. coconut
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. corn flakes, rice krispies, oatmeal or other cereals, nuts, chip -
whatever you like

Combine shortening, sugars, vanilla and eggs. Mix well. Add coconut and mix. Sift flour, baking powder, soda and salt together. Add to sugar mixture. Mix well. Add 2 cups of cereal or nuts or chips. Choose combination to suit your taste. Try another combination next time you use this recipe. Bake at 350 degrees 10-12 minutes.
