TORPEDOS 
4 Hero rolls
1/4 c. butter
1 lb. assorted sliced cold cuts
1 red or Bermuda onion, thinly sliced
1 sm. cucumber, thinly sliced
Bottled thin French dressing
1 egg white
1/4 c. bottled tartar sauce

Cut into each roll lengthwise almost to the bottom of roll, spread with butter and toast. Fold the slices of cold cuts and place in rolls; tuck in oven with cucumber slices evenly divided. Place rolls on a cookie sheet; drizzle lightly with French dressing. Beat egg white until it stands in firm peaks in a small bowl. Fold in the tartar sauce. Spoon over filled rolls. Broil 4 to 6 inches from heat for 5 minutes of until topping is puffed and lightly golden. Serve hot. Serves 4.
