PECAN PRALINES | |
1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. Pet milk 1/2 c. boiling water 1/2 stick butter 3 c. sugar 3 c. shelled pecans 1 tsp. vanilla Brown 1/2 cup of white sugar in a 4-6 quart pot until desired color is obtained. Add 1/2 cup Pet milk, 1/2 cup boiling water and 1/2 stick of butter. After all of these ingredients have been dissolved, add 3 cups of sugar and bring to a soft boil. Add 3 cups of pecans and bring to a hard boil. Remove from heat and add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Stir and let set for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drop on wax paper and let cool. NOTE: Double recipe for big batch. |
