MOM'S KETCHUP 
1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1/2 c. white vinegar
1/4 c. water
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. onion powder
1/8 tsp. garlic powder

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Whisk until smooth. When mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring often. Remove pan from heat and cover until cool. Chill in a covered container.

Makes 1 1/2 cups.
