12 soda crackers
12 dates, finely chopped
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1 c. sugar
1/3 tsp. baking powder
3 egg whites
1 tsp. almond extract
1/2 pt. whipping cream

Roll crackers finely. Chop dates and pecans with sugar and baking powder. Mix thoroughly. Beat egg whites into other mixture. Pour into a well buttered pie pan, you do not use a crust, and bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes. Let cool and serve with whipped cream.
