CHOP SUEY 
1 slice of round steak
2-3 tbsp. Crisco
1/2 c. soy sauce
1 c. water
2-3 c. celery
1 sm. diced onion
1 can bamboo shoots
1 can sliced water chestnuts
1 can bean sprouts
Chinese noodles
Rice
1 tbsp. molasses

Cut up steak and brown in Crisco. Add molasses, soy sauce, water and simmer slowly until meat is tender. Add celery, browned onion, bamboo shoots, sliced chestnuts. Add enough water so it makes enough for the sauce. Cook until celery is tender.

In 1/2 glass of water add 2 or 3 heaping tablespoons flour. Mix and add a little at a time until gravy is thickened. Add bean sprouts. Serve over rice and sprinkle with Chinese noodles.
