CHRISTMAS CAKE CANDY 
Make candy in advance. Candy ages as does fruit cake.

1 (8 oz.) pkg. dates, finely chopped
1 (8 oz.) jar Maraschino cherries, drained and chopped
1 cup pecans, finely chopped
1 (14 oz.) bag sweetened coconut flakes
1 (14 oz.) can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Thoroughly mix all ingredients in large bowl. Spread mixture in a shallow buttered baking pan.

Bake at 350°F until light brown.

Cut into squares; cool and pack in an airtight container.

Makes 50 pieces.
