SOUTHERN CHOCOLATE PIE 
1 c. sugar
3/4 c. butter, melted
3/4 c. light corn syrup
1/4 tsp. salt
3 eggs, beaten
2 tbsp. bourbon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 c. semi sweet chocolate pieces
1 unbaked 9" pie shell

Cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs, syrup, salt, bourbon and vanilla. Mix until well blended. Spread nuts, then chocolate pieces in bottom of pie shell; pour filling over all. Bake at 350 degrees about 45 minutes or until filling is set. Serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.
