BEEFY TACO SALAD 
1 lb. ground beef
1 1/4 oz. pkg. taco seasoning mix
1/2 c. water
1/4 c. taco sauce
9 oz. tortilla chips
Shredded lettuce (1 head)
Tomatoes
Onions
8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
Salsa and/or taco sauce
Black olives
Sour cream

Brown ground beef. Drain. Stir in taco seasoning and water. Add 1/4 cup taco sauce. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Chop lettuce and place on serving plates. Top with tortilla chips, which have been broken slightly. Put beef on top of chips. Add chopped tomatoes and onions to taste. Sprinkle with cheese. Pour salsa and/or taco sauce over salad. May be garnished with sliced black olives and sour cream. Serves 4-5.
