BEEF CRUST PIE 
1/2 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. grated onion
1/4 c. green pepper, chopped
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 c. cooked rice
1 1/2 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix first 8 ingredients and put into 9-inch pie plate.

Filling: Combine rice, 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce, water and 1/4 cup cheese. Spoon mixture into meat shell. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Uncover and sprinkle 3/4 cup cheese on top. Bake 10 to 15 minutes more. Serves 5 to 6.
