RHUBARB TORTE | |
1/2 c. butter 2 c. flour 2 tbsp. sugar Mix together ingredients for crust. Press into 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. 6 egg yolks, beaten stiff 2 c. sugar 4 tbsp. flour 1 c. whipping cream 1/2 tsp. salt 5 c. chopped rhubarb 6 egg whites 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar 3/4 c. sugar 1 tsp. vanilla Beat together egg yolks, sugar, flour, cream, and salt. Add rhubarb and spread on crust. Bake 35-45 minutes at 350 degrees. Beat egg whites stiff and add cream of tartar, sugar and vanilla. Spread on top of rhubarb and brown. |
