GEORGIA CABBAGE RELISH 
1 lg. cabbage, shredded
1 qt. white onions, sliced fine
1 c. salt

Mix well and let stand overnight. In morning squeeze dry and cover with vinegar. Add 3 tablespoons celery seed, a few pod (sm.) red pepper 1 cup sugar. Mix, bring to a boil and boil hard for 5 minutes. Put into jars and seal.
