BRONXITE MEATBALLS (SWEET AND
SOUR)
 
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
16 oz. can cranberry sauce
16 oz. can tomato sauce
1/2 c. white rice
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 c. water
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 egg
1 tsp. salt and pepper
1 clove garlic
1/2 tsp. ginger

Mix beef, rice, water, egg, bread crumbs together and form 1 inch meatballs. In 4 quart saucepan mix cranberry sauce, tomato sauce, ginger, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally (uncovered). Then add meatballs, cover for 1 hour on low heat, stirring occasionally. Makes approximately 6-8 servings.
