B.'S BATCH | |
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. sifted all-purpose flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. butter, softened 1/3 c. firmly packed brown sugar 1/3 c. granulated sugar 1 egg 1 1/2 tsp. very hot water 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Beat butter, brown sugar, sugar and egg in large bowl of electric mixer. Beat until fluffy, about 3 minutes. Beat in hot water and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour mixture, mixing until blended and smooth. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded measuring teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes or until golden. Place baking sheets on wire racks to cool one minute. Remove cookies from sheets and allow to cool completely on wire racks. Makes 3 dozen. |
