CHEWY HONEY ALMOND SLICES 
1 lb. almonds
1 lb. honey (1 1/2 c.)
1/4 tsp. black pepper
Skin and juice of 1 orange (grate skin of orange, and then used squeezed juice, grated peel and pulp in dough)
1 egg, beaten
4 c. flour
3/4 tsp. salt

Mix flour, salt, pepper and honey, add egg. Add orange and almonds to mixture. Make into about 3 to 4 small loaves, about 3/4 to 1 inches high. Bake at 350 degrees for 1/2 hour or until done. Cut while warm into thin slices.
