FOOD FOR THE GODS 
1/2 lb. walnuts
1/4 lb. dates, cut up
1/2 c. cracker crumbs
1 tsp. baking powder mixed in crumbs
1 c. sugar
3 eggs beaten separately

Beat yolks, add sugar, cracker crumbs, dates and nuts. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake in slow oven. Serve with whipped cream. Serves 8.
