CHOCOLATE PIE 
1 c. sugar
2 c. milk
3 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs, beaten (save whites for meringue)
3 tbsp. corn starch

Add milk to large sauce pan or double boiler. Beat egg yolks, set aside. Combine sugar, salt, cocoa and corn starch; blend well. Add beaten egg. Mix into milk, cook mixture until thickens. Beat until smooth, add vanilla. Pour into baked pie shell. Top with meringue.

MERINGUE:

4 reserved egg whites
1/2 c. sugar

Beat egg whites until frothy, add sugar. Continue beating until it holds peak. Spread on pie, bake 15 minutes or until golden brown at 350 degrees. Set on rack to cool.
