SNOWMEN COOKIES
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 sticks butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. almond extract
Miniature chocolate chips
Red cinnamon candies
Raisins
Milk chocolate kisses for hats
Powdered sugar

In medium bowl, stir together flour and baking powder. Set aside. In a large bowl beat butter and cream cheese with an electric mixer for 1/2 minute.

Add sugar and beat until fluffy. Add egg, vanilla, almond extract and beat well. Gradually add flour mixture to creamed mixture, beating well after each addition. Chill overnight.

For each snowman, shape dough into three balls: 1 inch for body base, 3/4 inch for middle section, and 1/2 inch for head. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Press together slightly. Press two chocolate chips in head for eyes. Use chocolate chips, raisins, or cinnamon candies for body buttons.

Bake at 325 degrees for 18 minutes or until edges are firm and bottoms are light golden brown. When cool, sprinkle cookies with powdered sugar. You can put a small amount of frosting on the head of each snowman and add chocolate kiss for a hat. Makes about 30 cookies.
