THE BEST CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES! 
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) salted butter, softened
2 large eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
chocolate chips (however many you prefer)

Preheat the oven to 300°F.

In a medium bowl combine flour and baking soda. Set aside.

In a large bowl with and electric mixer, blend sugars at medium speed until fluffy. Add butter to form a grainy paste. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Mix on medium speed until just blended.

With a fork, stir in the flour mixture and chocolate chips.

Drop cookies by rounded tablespoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet, about 2-inches apart.

Bake at 300°F for 12 to 15 minutes.

Variation: If you like your cookies to be crunchy, consider adding a few minutes to the baking time.
