HAMBURGER CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground lean beef
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 (soup can) water
1 c. bread crumbs (optional)
1/4 tsp. salt and pepper
1 c. tomato soup
1 can drained peas
8 sm. potatoes, thinly sliced

Mix hamburger, salt, pepper and onion together until meat is brown. Add soup and water and simmer. Place a layer of potatoes on the bottom of casserole. Add a layer of peas followed by a layer of meat. Repeat process. Cover with bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
