PUMPKIN CAKE 
1 box yellow or white cake mix, divided
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
1 egg

Remove 1 cup cake mix and set aside. Mix remaining cake mix with butter and egg. Pat in bottom of 13x9-inch pan.

1 (15 oz.) can pumpkin
3 eggs
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
2/3 cup milk
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar

Combine pumpkin, eggs, brown sugar, milk, cinnamon and vanilla; pour over first mixture in pan. Mix 1 cup cake mix with butter and granulated sugar; crumble over top of pumpkin mixture.

Bake at 350°F for 40 to 50 minutes. If desired, serve with whipped topping.
