SAUSAGE & POTATOES AU GRATIN | |
1 can cream of mushroom soup 3/4 c. milk 1 sm. onion, diced 1 tbsp. green pepper, diced (opt.) 1 tbsp. pimento, diced 4 c. potatoes, sliced 1 lb. sausage, cooked, crumbled 1 tbsp. butter, drained 1/2 to 3/4 c. cheddar cheese, shredded Salt & pepper to taste Combine soup, milk, onions, green pepper, pimento, salt and pepper and meat; blend well. Place half of sliced potatoes in greased casserole. Sprinkle with half of soup mixture. Repeat layers. Dot with butter, cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Remove and sprinkle with cheese and bake, uncovered, 15 minutes more or until potatoes are tender. Sprinkle some of the cheese in between the layers, too. |
