TOMATO RICE SOUP 
4-5 lb. pot roast
1 lg. can peeled tomatoes
1 lg. onion, chopped
4 carrots, peeled & sliced
4-5 lg. potatoes, peeled & chopped
Salt & pepper to taste
1/2 c. rice, uncooked

In a large pot with a cover, put in meat, onions and carrots. Can tomatoes 3 cans water, salt and pepper. Cook until it comes to a boil then simmer for at least 2 hours. Add potatoes. Cook until tender. Then add rice. Slice meat. Serve soup with a spoon of sour cream in bowl.
