CREAM CHEESE FILLED BROWNIES 
Melt 2 (1 ounce) squares semi-sweet chocolate and 1 cup butter; let cool. Beat 2 eggs and 1 cup of granulated sugar. Add to chocolate mixture. Add 3/4 cup flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Mix well.

FILLING:

8 oz. cream cheese
1/3 c. granulated sugar
1 egg
1/4 tsp. almond extract

Mix well. In a greased 8 x 13 inch pan put in 1 layer chocolate mixture and then cream cheese filling. Add remaining chocolate mixture. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
2 tbsp. butter

Melt. Add: 1 tsp. vanilla

Mix well. Spread on cooled brownies.
