GINGERBREAD COOKIES 
Spicy cutouts for children to decorate. This is the recipe I use for my gingerbread girl and boy.

1 c. shortening
1 c. light brown sugar
3 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 c. molasses
6 c. bread flour
1 1/2 tbsp. ginger
2 1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda

Cream shortening and sugar; add eggs and molasses. Stir dry ingredients together and add. Chill. Roll out not too thin.

Bake at 350°F until dry, not crisp.

Makes enough dough for many shaped cookies. Frost, if desired.
