LOADED WITH CHIPS COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. regular uncooked oats
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
3/4 c. pecans or raisins
Chopped M & M's can be substituted for chocolate chips
Any combination of chips, nuts, raisins can be used

Cream butter and shortening; gradually add sugars, beating until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, beating well. Combine oats, flour, and baking soda; add to creamed mixture. Mix well. Stir in chips, raisins, nuts, etc. Drop dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes. Remove to wire racks and cool.
