CARAMEL POPCORN 
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. vinegar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
3 qts. popcorn
1 tbsp. butter

Pop corn. Mix sugar, syrup, vinegar, salt and butter in 2 quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it boils. Boil gently until a small amount reaches crack stage. Add vanilla and soda. Stir well. Pour foamy mixture over popcorn and stir to mix well. Store in tightly covered container to retain crispness.
