PINE BARK | |
1 c. brown sugar 2 sticks butter 1 lg. (12 oz.) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips or morsels Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil, sides and bottom. Completely cover bottom with saltines, one layer. Melt butter in a saucepan, add brown sugar and boil for 3 minutes. Pour sugar mixture over crackers -- spread well to cover all surfaces. Bake at 400 degrees for 7 minutes. Remove from oven and immediately spread on the chocolate chips. Spread evenly with spoon or knife (will melt). Refrigerate for an hour or until chocolate is firm. Peel off foil and break into pieces. Pine Bark freezes well. |
