BROILED TOMATOES | |
1/2 c. dry, coarse bread crumbs 1 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese 2 tbsp. oil 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt 1/2 tsp. finely minced onion 4 med. tomatoes, firm but ripe Combine all ingredients except tomatoes in a small bowl, mix well. Set aside. Wash tomatoes, remove stem ends and cut in half crosswise. Place in a shallow pan cut side up. Spread cut surface of each with crumb mixture. Broil, 5 to 6 inches from heat, about 10 minutes until golden brown. |
