HOT TURKEY SANDWICHES | |
1 pkg. fresh turkey breast slices (about 1 1/4 lbs.) 1/2 c. Italian salad dressing 1 tbsp. cooking oil 8 slices, 2x3 inches Swiss cheese 2 lg. Pita bread 2 tbsp. mayonnaise or salad dressing 2 c. alfalfa sprouts 1 med. sliced avocado 1 lg. sliced tomato Marinate breast slices in Italian dressing 10 to 15 minutes. Heat oil in skillet over medium high heat. Saute slices 2 minutes. Turn; top each slice with cheese slice. Cook about 2 minutes, until meat is no longer pink. Cut pita in halves; form pockets. Spread with mayonnaise. Place 2 slices of turkey in each half, then sprouts, avocado and tomato. 4 servings. |
