GRANDMA KELLER'S MONTGOMERY PIE 
LEMON MIXTURE:

1 egg
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 c. molasses
4 tbsp. lemon juice
1 c. warm water

CAKE MIXTURE:

1 c. sugar
1/4 c. shortening
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder

Mix lemon and cake mixture ingredients separately. Put 1 tablespoon cake mixture in the bottom of 2 unbaked pie shells. Spread the cake mixture to cover the bottom. Pour lemon mixture into 2 unbaked pie shells. Drop cake mixture into pie. Bake 10 minutes at 425 degrees, then 20-30 minutes at 350 degrees.
