MOTHER'S BEST PECAN PIE 
3/4 c. granulated sugar
1/4 c. dark brown sugar
1/2 stick butter
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. pecans

Melt sugars and butter in a thick saucepan. Over medium heat. Pour slightly beaten eggs into sugar mixture, stirring constantly until well mixed. Do this slowly to avoid the hot sugar mixture to cook the eggs. Add vanilla and pecans and pour into an unbaked pie shell. Cook at 325 degrees for approximately 45 minutes. This makes a less sweet pie that does not have the "runny" consistency of most pecan pies.
