CHEESY PEAS 
1 can peas
1 tbsp. bacon bits
1-2 slices American singles (other cheeses can be substituted)
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. salt

Warm peas in the packing juices with pepper and salt. Allow juice to boil off somewhat. Add bacon bits and cover pan for 5-10 minutes, allowing to simmer. Two to three minutes before serving, place cheese on top of the simmering mixture, replace lid, and remove from heat.
