TINY APPLE TURNOVERS 
2 tbsp. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. sugar
4 sm. green apples, peeled & thinly sliced
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. salad oil
Hot salad oil

Cook apples in saucepan, over low heat about 20 minutes, or until tender. Combine sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, cinnamon and nutmeg; stir into apples and cook over low heat until thickened. Stir often. Set aside.

Combine 2 cups flour, salt, milk and 1/2 cup oil in a mixing bowl; stir until mixture forms a ball. Divide mixture in half and roll each half out on a lightly floured board. (1/8th inch thickness). Cut with a 2 1/2 inch biscuit cutter. Spoon about 3/4 teaspoon apple mixture on half of each pastry circle. Moisten edges with water, fold in half, press with a fork to seal. Fry turnovers in one inch of hot oil until lightly browned. Turn once. Drain on paper towels. Makes 3 dozen.
