TORTILLAS 
2 c. white flour
1 heaping tbsp. shortening (vegetable)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 pinches of salt

Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and shortening. Work into dry mixture with hands. Add water (must be warm). Work until it looks like pizza dough, at least 5 minutes. Let dough set. Heat griddle until hot. Pull off a small ball of dough. Cup dough in hands using circular motion until shaped like upside down saucer. Roll flat and grill each side for about half a minute or until light brown spots appear. Cook on medium heat.
