SAN FRANCISCO STEW | |
2 lbs. hamburger 1 pt. tomatoes 1 (16 oz.) can pork and beans 1 med. onion, sliced 1/2 c. brown sugar 3/4 c. rice (fix according to directions on box) 4 slices bacon Brown hamburger and drain off fat. Add tomatoes, beans and rice to hamburger and stir. Pour half of mixture into a 3 quart casserole (grease dish). Slice a layer of onion to cover. Sprinkle half of brown sugar over onions. Add remaining bean mixture. Slice more onions and sprinkle rest of brown sugar on. Place bacon slices over top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes. Serves 4. |
