CRISCO POUND CAKE | |
5 eggs 1/2 c. Crisco 3 c. cake flour 1/8 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tbsp. butter 3 c. sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 1 c. milk Cream sugar and shortening thoroughly. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour, baking powder and salt together and add alternately with milk to mixture. Add vanilla and mix well. Bake at 325 degrees approximately 1 1/2 hours. (Be sure to check cake after 1 1/4 hours.) |
