FESTIVE HOLIDAY NUTS 
2 c. water
2 c. peanuts
1 1/2 c. pecans or walnuts
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. melted butter
Salt

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line 15 x 10 x 1 inch pan with foil. Boil water. Add nuts, cook and stir for 1 minute. Drain, quickly rinse with hot water. Drain on paper towels.

Transfer nuts to baking pan. Sprinkle nuts with sugar, stir to mix, but do not dissolve sugar. Place nuts in single layer.

Drizzle with butter. Bake 15 minutes, stir well and bake another 10-15 minutes or until evenly toasted. Remove with slotted spoon to paper towels. Sprinkle lightly with salt. Store in refrigerator in covered container.
