PEPPERS IN TOMATO SAUCE 
1 qt. tomato juice
3/4 c. oil
3/4 c. sugar
1 c. white vinegar
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine tomato juice, oil, sugar, vinegar, water and salt in a pan. Bring to a boil. Add hot and sweet peppers and cook for 5 to 8 minutes. Put a slice of garlic in the bottom of each hot jar. Add peppers and sauce to each jar and seal with hot lids.
