APPLE TORTE 
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs
1 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 can sliced pie apples, drained

Mix first 5 ingredients to make cake dough. Place dough in ungreased baking pan. Punch apples down into dough. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake 45 minutes at 375 degrees. Serve with sauce (below).

SAUCE FOR APPLE TORTE:

1/2 c. butter, melted
2 eggs
1 c. sugar

Beat well and pour over hot cake and bake an additional 15 minutes or until cake doesn't shake.
