PARTY BEEF CASSEROLE | |
2 lb. ground beef 3/4 c. chopped onion 1 garlic clove, minced 1/2 c. chopped green pepper 1/2 c. chopped celery 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 (8 oz.) can mushroom stems and pieces, drained 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste 1/2 c. sherry 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 (7 oz.) pkg. shell macaroni, cooked and drained 1 c. (4 oz.) shredded Cheddar cheese Brown ground beef, onion, garlic, green pepper, and celery in a skillet; drain off excess fat. Combine with remaining ingredients, except shredded cheese. Put into a 3-quart casserole. Bake, covered, at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Sprinkle with shredded cheese and bake an additional 5 minutes, or until heated through. 8 to 10 servings. |
