FANNY'S MAPLE CREAMS | |
1/2 c. soft butter 4 tbsp. whipping cream 3/4 tsp. maple flavor 3 1/2 c. or 1 lb. confectioners' sugar If liked after creaming, divide into 3 or 4 parts and flavor each with a different flavor. Mix with spoon until well blended. Then in electric mixer, beat until very creamy and soft. The creamier the better the candy will be. Roll into small balls in palm of hands and place balls on wax paper. Chill at least 2 hours or leave overnight to dry out. This makes them easier to dip. COATING FOR MAPLE CREAMS: 2 sqs. semi-sweet chocolate, cut up 1/2 pkg. chocolate chips Scant 2 inch sq. paraffin wax, shaved Melt and keep warm. With toothpick, pick up balls and dip in chocolate to coat. Put on wax paper to cool. Do not put in refrigerator. |
