SOUR CREAM DOUGHNUTS 
LARGE BATCH:

9 eggs, beaten thick
3 c. sour milk
3 tsp. baking soda, added to milk and cream
1 tsp. nutmeg
5 c. sugar
3 c. country sour cream
3 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. salt
Approximately 18 c. flour

SMALLER BATCH:

3 eggs, beaten thick
1 c. sour milk
1 tsp. baking soda, added to milk and cream
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 2/3 c. sugar
1 c. country sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla
Dash of salt
Flour to make a soft dough

Beat eggs until thick, add sugar and nutmeg and vanilla. Add soda to milk and cream and add to egg mixture. Add flour and salt sifted together. Mix, roll to 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick. Fry. (I use round electric skillet and fry in probably 375 degree or maybe little hotter degrees.) Drain on paper towel and glaze or sugar or plain as desired.
