MOCK STUFFED CABBAGE 
1 lg. onion
1/2 c. uncooked rice
2 lbs. ground chuck or lean beef
1/2 lb. ground pork
1 tsp. salt
Pepper
1 lg. head cabbage
1 (46 oz.) can tomato juice
1 (16 oz.) jar ragu Italian cooking sauce

Saute onion in small amount of butter. Boil rice 3 minutes, rinse and drain. Mix meat, seasoning, rice and onion. Form into balls. Shred cabbage and make a nest in a large pot. Place meat balls in nest. Cover with Ragu cooking sauce, layer of shredded cabbage and pour tomato juice over the whole mess. Bake at 325 degrees for 3 hours. Baste occasionally so top layer of cabbage will remain moist.
