IRISH BREAD 
4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 lump shortening
2 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 c. sour milk
raisins (optional)
caraway (optional)

Sift together flour, sugar, salt, soda and powder and put in large bowl. Add a lump of shortening (the size of an egg), the eggs, sour milk, raisins and caraway and mix until well blended.

Bake at 350°F in an iron skillet.

Makes 1 loaf.
