SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
1 c. soft butter
2 3/4 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour cream
1 tbsp. flavor (vanilla or almond to taste)

Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each. Sift dry ingredients 3 times and add alternately with sour cream to sugar and butter mixture, beating until smooth. Add flavoring. Bake in 9-inch tube pan, greased and floured at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until done. Let stand in pan 10 minutes, then remove.
