BLUEBERRY PUDDING CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 sticks butter
3 eggs
1 c. milk
4 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 pt. blueberries (floured) (in 1/2 c. flour)

Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add dry ingredients and mix. Flour berries in half cup of flour and fold into dough, lightly so as not to smash the berries. Put into floured (tube pan) and bake at 350 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Top will be brown, a toothpick which is inserted in cake will appear clean, when cake is done.

This cake is nice for packing lunches -- as no icing is required, although a glaze of powdered sugar, butter and water can be dribbled over the cake while it is still warm, when taken from the oven.
