HAMBURGER MELT 
8 slices white bread
1/2 lb. ground beef
2 tbsp. chopped celery
1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (about 4 oz.)
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/8 tsp. pepper
butter
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 tbsp. prepared mustard
3/4 c. milk
1/8 tsp. dry mustard

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Toast bread; butter both sides. Cook and stir meat, onion, celery and prepared mustard until meat is brown and onion is tender. In a greased 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan layer toast, meat mix, cheese, repeat.

Mix remaining ingredients; pour over layers in pan. Bake uncovered 30 to 35 minutes. 4 to 5 servings. Doubles nicely.
