BEEF BURGER PIE WITH CHEESE PUFF 
2 tbsp. fat
2 tbsp. chopped onion
3/4 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
2 tbsp. flour
2 c. tomatoes
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. diced, cooked carrots
1 c. cooked green beans

Melt fat in fry pan; add onion and meat; brown well. Add salt, pepper, and flour; mix. Add tomatoes and Worcestershire sauce; cook until slightly thickened. Add carrot and green beans. Pour into greased casserole or 8 x 8 x 2 inch cake pan. 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. shortening 1/4 c. grated sharp cheese 1/2 c. milk

Sift flour, baking powder, mustard, and salt together; cut in shortening. Add cheese and milk; blend to a soft dough. Spread topping evenly over meat mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Serves 6.
